Hydrants

Hydrant Colors

Hydrant colors tell firefighters how many gallons of water can come out of a hydrant per minute, so they can immediately see it's flow capabilities during emergencies. Hydrants are painted in accordance with National Fire Protection Association and American Water Works Association standards.
