Water Treatment Process

Starting at the Cumberland River, we pull water from the river using intake lines. The water is distributed into eight flocculation basins, with three mixing motors in each. The flocculation created settles to the bottom, and we take clear water from the top, and pipe it through twelve different filters. Filtered water is moved through a series of clear wells. Finally, clean water is ready for distribution throughout the district.
